Abstract (EN)

Psychoanalysis was put forward by Sigmund Freud as a theory for the treatment of psychic disorders in the 19th century and had a ground breaking impact on the science of psychology. Since the psychoanalytic theory was first put forward, many factors such as depressions, uncertainties and conflicts of individuals in literary works have been tried to be examined by applying this theory. Freud was the first to apply the theory of psychoanalysis to literary work. Together with Freud, many literary works in the world literature have been examined by applying psychoanalytic methods. In Turkish literature, there are writers dealing with the individual, the inner world of the individual and the problems of existence. These authors present a remarkable material in psychoanalytic terms. In this context, one of the writers whose works should be examined is Kâmuran Şipal, who wrote his works with a modernist attitude. This study is based on the application of psychoanalytic theory on the thematic findings of Şipal's works. In the first part of the study, the conceptual explanation of psychoanalytic theory, its emergence as a theory, the theories and theoreticians that have developed in the axis of psychoanalytic theory have been included. In the second part, the life, literary personality and works of Kâmuran Şipal are given. In the third part, the data obtained from the application of psychoanalytic theory to the works of Şipal are examined along with the data such as dream, gender confusion, sexuality, birth trauma, narcissism, oedipus, love and violence. This section has also been systematized by supporting both the extracts from Şipal's works and the information obtained from theoretical books on psychoanalysis
