Abstract (EN)

In this study, the philosophy of Karl R. Popper that made significant effects on philosophy of science and his political philosophy in the 20th century, and its reflections to Turkey are aimed to examine and evaluate. In the first chapter, intellectual background of Popper's life and his works are given. In the second chapter, Popper's philosophy of science is exhibited in light of his concepts of falsificationism and critical rationalism; and in case of Popper's political philosophy through his concepts of open society and historicism makes clear. In the third chapter, Turkish publications and studies about Popper have been determined and finally, in the fourth chapter, evaluations about those publications and studies have been briefly mentioned.
