Abstract (EN)

The limitation of the screening area of the short film, which has an important place in the progress of the development of cinema, the limitations it gives to the producer and the meanings it contains even in a limited time are provided by the formal motifs used. It is clear that the audience cannot be satisfied if the formal elements are missing in the film. If the formal integrity is ensured, the film becomes a successful film. As we saw at the Uşak Winged Seahorse Short Film Festival, the award-winning fiction films tell a lot in a short time in a formal integrity. In the study, the subject of form in the short film is examined in detail through the fictional films that won awards at the Uşak Winged Seahorse Film Festival, which achieved great success in a very short time. The aim of this study is to examine the formation of the formal narrative structure in the short film. For this purpose, first of all, within the framework of the formal narrative theory, the elements that provide the formation of the formal narrative structure are examined in detail. Finally, through the analysis of the formal narrative structure of the five short films that make up the sample, the formation of the subject of form in the short film has been revealed.
