Abstract (EN)

In this Ph.D. thesis, the silvicultural practices in three forest fire areas were examined together with sampled areas from regeneration and afforestation areas in the Kütahya forest district. By examining both the fire areas that are prioritized in afforestation and the afforestation practices carried out after the fire in line with the relevant communiqu of the General Directorate of Forestry, the afforestation and natural regeneration areas in these regions, especially in the areas of similar age and location as the post-fire afforestation area, are also nine areas of 1000 m² were sampled and compared in terms of age, tree height and diameter at base. Result of analysis of variance showed significant differences (p<0.01) among fire, regeneration and afforestation areas for the characteristics. Thus, by determining the success status in the afforested burned areas, to what extent the studies can be carried out in accordance with the principle of continuity, by revealing the reasons for failure. Determining the emerging silvicultural requirements, it has contributed to applications such as fire culture in forestry and counter fire.
