Abstract (EN)

Organizational culture and its variety of outcomes have been one of the major research concern for academics and practitioners of various organizations. In terms of consequences of organizational culture management literature is abundant. Antecedents and consequences of organizational culture have been comprehensively covered.In this study organizational culture is treated as an independent variable which is supposed to effect employees? job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The study sample was withdrawn from the employees of seven university libraries in the Mediterranean region of Turkey. About 130 library employees were surveyed in order to obtain data concerning organizational culture and its effects on employee job satisfaction and organizational commitment.Hierarchical regression analysis results revealed that the dimensions of organizational culture have statistically significant effects on employee job satisfaction and organizational commitment. It is recommended that further research be conducted on various employee groups from different organizations and sectors of the economy.
