A review on Mehmet Akif Ersoy's poems-stylistic review, context index and functional dictionary-

Mehmet Âkif is a poet who brought a new tone and musicality to Turkish literature with his poems. In this study titled "An Analysis on Mehmet Âkif Ersoy's Poems -Stylistic Analysis, Contextual Index and Functional Dictionary-", the word world of the poet's work "Safahat", which consists of seven different poetry books, and all his other poems except "Safahat", has been examined in terms of contextual index and functionality. In the introduction part of the study, information about the subject, purpose, importance and method of the research is given. In the first part, Mehmet Âkif's life, understanding of art and his works were presented. In the second part, the words related to religion and mysticism used in the poems were examined. In the third chapter, the words related to society and social life are analyzed. In the fourth chapter, the words related to the disease are analyzed in a metaphorical context. In the fifth chapter, the words related to the cosmic world, time, four elements (water, air, fire, earth), animals and plants are analyzed under the title of nature. In the sixth chapter, words expressing type and character were revealed and type and character analysis was made. In the seventh chapter, the effects of religious figures on collective memory are examined in relation to the art of allusion. In the eighth chapter, Safahat Dictionary (contextual index and functional dictionary), which includes all the poems of the artist, has been prepared in alphabetical order. In the conclusion part, the findings of the study are explained. The aim of the study; The aim is to analyze all of Mehmet Âkif's poems, to analyze the words he frequently uses, and to introduce a dictionary study, which has not been done before, to the world of science and Turkish literature.
