Abstract (EN)
Throughout history, civilizations in different parts of the world have lived a very different character from each other with their different political, economic and social characteristics. Each nation, with the civilized knowledge it brought from history, and the behaviors it exhibited to adapt to the geography it is in, formed the character of that nation. Thus, different material and spiritual values, understanding, beliefs and behaviors of nations have become almost an identity of that nation over time. Civilizations have created a unique cultural accumulation in their own living space in the process. The interaction between people has been continuous since the first periods of history. This interaction has sometimes continued with factors such as trade, sometimes immigration, and sometimes war. Interaction has manifested itself more or less in all civilizations in the world, and every nation has seen and recognized the social features that it may not have known at all after these processes and started to live in its own culture over time. Mardin, which has an exceptional place in the geography of the region, has become a place where thousands of years of history and the cultural accumulation of many civilizations are blended, where cultures interact with each other and between the past and the present, and new lifestyles are formed. In the 13th century, a great power that would change the fate of history emerged from the east of Asia and embarked on a great invasion movement in the world. Wars, destructions, migrations… This process, on the other hand, has prepared a great basis for the interaction between civilizations. It was inevitable that such an interaction would occur in Mardin, one of the points reached by the Mongolian campaign.
