An analysis and contexual of the Ab-ı Hayat Mathnawi by Muhyiddin Bayrami

This study is about ?Ab-ı Hayat? Mathnawi ? a kind of didactic poem ? which was completed by Muhyiddin Bayrami in the first half of the 16th Century. In the opening part of the study, to reveal the importance of the work itself in its period and its place among the masnaviat, I have given information about under the titles of ? General information about Matnavi?, ?General perspective of the 16th Century Classical Turkish Literature?, ?16th Century Classical Turkish Mathnawi?, ?16th Century Classical Turkish Religious and Moral Mathnawi?The life of and the character of the writer has been analyzed from his works because there had not any bibliography that has information about the life and character of the writer. Also in this part of the study, the person who made a copy of the original text has been introduced and mentioned about the structure of the text.In the second part of the study, the study of ?Ab-ı Hayat? has been given with the titles of ?internal structure of the text? and ?the external structure of the text. A brief summary has also been given with the title of ?internal structure?. Verses, hadiths, stories, persons, involved in the text, have been given with the internal titles of their own in a summary.With the title of external structure of the text, language study, verse style, meters of poem, rhyme , radif, literary arts, types of narration and archaic words has been completed as subtitles of the study.In the third part of the study, transcript of the work has been given. The study has been completed after the titles of ?Conclusion? and ?Autobiography?. This study has been formed by the help of the person who made a copy from the original text of ? Ab-ı Hayat? Mathnawi. The writer was not known well by people in literature. But I hope he will be well known by people in the history of literature after this study, and people will get to know much better about himself as his works appears in time.In the third part of the study, transcript of the work has been given.
