The edition-critique and examination of Nişancizâde's work entitled Nur al-'Ayn (Chapters between 34 and 39)

Nişancızâde, a scholar who lived in the seventeenth century is the author of the book titled Nûru'l-'ayn fi ıslâhi Câmi'u'l-fusûleyn. This book aims at correcting and organizing a fifteenth century book on juristictive methodology and transactions by Şeyh Bedreddin; Câmi'u'l-fusûleyn, which was used as a reference work in courts for a years. The purpose of this study is to examine and compare the chapters 34-39 in Nûru'l-'ayn and in Câmi'u'l-fusûleyn. The chapters 34-39 in Nûru'l-'ayn consist of six different topics. While the topics of these chapters are the same with the ones in Câmi'u'l-fusûleyn, their contents are different. This study consists of two chapters. In the first chapter, the content of the chapters in these two books are compared in terms of their wording and writing style. Also, the additions by Nişancızâde and the topics that he removed from the sections, and the way he used the sources are examined. In this way, we found out how and by which methods Nişancızâde improved Câmi'u'l-fusûleyn. In the second chapter, we presented an edition-critique of chapters 34-39 of Nûru'l-'ayn based on two different copies of the book.
