Investigation of noise from physical risk factors at pre-mary education and secondary scholls

Protection of employees and work in a healthier and safer environment is a priority of occupational health and safety principle. Presence of physical risk factors in the working environment forms a risk to the health and safety of persons. high noise levels in the work area affects particularly physiological, psychological and affects performance. In this study, equivalent noise level measurements were made during lessons in the classroom at the pre-owned, basic education and secondary schools and the results are evaluated in terms of students and teachers after obtaining the necessary permissions from Balıkesir provincial directorate of national education. A total of 144 measurements were taken from 12 schools, including four primary schools, four secondary schools and four high schools. SC310 BODY "Sound Level Meter" noise meter was used for measurements and measurements were taken according to TS ISO 1996-2. The data obtained in the study were compared with the limit values and found to be above these values. As a result, when considering the course time in the classroom environment, it can be said that teachers and students should be aware of noise and acoustically improving in the classroom on the basis of noisy control methods.
