Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to reveal the relationship between schools' DNA profiles and teachers' organizational citizenship behaviors. Relational screening model was used in the research. The target population of the study consisted of 3986 teachers and for the research, 457 teachers who worked in primary, secondary and high schools in Uşak in the 2015-2016 academic year were examined. Simple random sampling was used in this research. The data were collected by using organizational DNA scale and organizational citizenship behaviour scale. In the analyze of the data; frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean and standard deviation values were calculated. Independent sample t-test, one-way variance analysis, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient and regression analysis were used. According to the results of the research, the level of teachers 'perception of organizational DNA is moderate. Teachers' perception of resilient organization profile which is one of the healthy organization profiles is high. Primary schools have more healthy organization profiles than the other school types. Male teachers' perceptions were higher in healthy organization profiles while female teachers' perceptions were higher in unhealthy organization profiles. The perceptions' of teachers in unhealthy organization increase when the number of teachers in schools increases. While there isn't a significant difference between organizational DNA and teachers' working periods in the same school in healthy organizations, there is a significant difference between short-term teachers and teachers working in the same school for a long time with regard to teachers' perceptions in unhealthy organizations. According to professional seniority, teachers' perception of organizational DNA changes only in the fits and starts organization profiles. Teachers' perception of organizational citizenship behavior level is high. Teachers have the highest perception in the dimension of the sportsmanship. Teachers' level of organizational citizenship behavior doesn't differ in terms of gender and professional seniority. While the dimension of altruism, sportsmanship and civic virtue differs, the dimension of conscientiousness doesn't differ in terms of the number of teachers in schools and the types of school. The level of organizational citizenship behavior differs in only in the dimension of altruism in terms of the duration of working at the same school. According to the results of the study, there is a positive moderate-level relationship between teachers' organizational DNA perceptions for healthy organizations (resilient, military precision and just-in-time organizations) and organizational citizenship behavior, and there is a negative moderate-level relationship between teachers' organizational DNA perceptions for unhealthy organizations (fits and starts, over managed and passive-aggressive organizations) and organizational citizenship behavior. According to the research, resilient organization and passive aggressive organization profiles in secondary scools and resilient organization, military precision organization and passive aggressive organization profiles in high schools predict teachers' organizational citizenship behaviour in a meaningful way. While healthy resilient and military precision predicts teachers organizational citizenship behaviour in a positive way, passive aggressive organization predicts in a negative way.
