The relationship between organizational silence and trust and the research on the education organizations

Abstract (EN)

The purpose of the research is to determine the perception of the teachers who are working at the Industrial vocational high schools and the Trade vocational high schools according to the kind of their schools to see the effects of this relationship on the education organizations and the relationship between organizational silence and confidence.The samples of the research are including 148 teachers who are working in İstanbul Küçükçekmece district and all of them are working at the official state Industrial vocational high schools and the Trade vocational high schools.The datas that are acquired on the research are analyzed by using the program SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 17.0. Hypothesises are made with multi-regression, t-test, one way varience analyze (anova) and complementary pos-hoc analyzes to determine the sources of differences.In the results of the research however the organizations which have the increasing levels of communication it is seen that there is decrease on the behaviour of defensive silence, the ones who are working as teachers for 16-20 years are giving more importance to the communication inside the organization and the defensive silence behaviour are more seen on the ones who are working as teachers for 21 years and more. Among the teachers participating in this research, Trade vocational high school teachers are more likely to show the peaceful silence behaviour and it is possible to say that most of these teachers are single. Furthermore when the Trade vocational high school teachers trust their managers, they are more likely to show the prosocial silence behaviour to the outsiders, on the other hand when the organization managers? sensitivity about the teachers increase, it is seen that teachers are less likely to show the prosocial silence behaviour to the outsiders. Among the teachers participating in this research Industrial vocational high school teachers are giving more importance to the trusting to headmasters, management?s tendency about innovations and being sensitive to the teachers in the organization.Key Words: Organization, Silence, Trust
