The factors that affect the performance of the teachers working in secondary level education

The main goal of this study is to define the factors that affect the performance of teachers working in secondary level and to investigate how those factors are reflected in their working environment. In this study, the factors, which are wages, working environment and management, are examined on the teachers who work at secondary level education schools to reveal how the performance of the teachers are affected by those factors. In total, 103 surveys are evaluated and reliability and validity of those surveys are checked with using SPSS 17 software tool by applying factor, correlation and regression analysis. As a result, this study reveals that the performance of teacher was affected mostly by management factor. The management factor was followed by working environment and wages. Hence, the wages factor did not show any effects that directly increase the performance of teachers. It is determined that the good attitude of the school manager with proper and effective communication and career investments and developments for teachers have to be increased. Also, it is supported by results of analysis that the performance of teachers are increased by providing them working conditions in which they can feel themselves comfortable and under no pressure.
