The perception levels of secondary school students 'relationship to school security (Example of Bilecik province)

This survey has been carried out to elicitthe viewsof secondary school student's related to school safety.As sub-objective of this research,it has been studied if the perception levels of secondary school students related to school security differ logically according to gender of student,income status,housing type and class level. This survey can be qualified,application according to it's grade, range according to it's environment anddescriptive according to it's method to specify at what level security has the ir secondary school based on the secondaryschool student's perception on school security. The secondary school student's of private and state formal education in the centre of Bilecik province formed the working universe of the search in the scanning model,samples were chosen among 8 official groups in the secondary schools.To find out the sense of security of student's at which schools they are studying,30 items,fivefold likert scale was applied are in data analysis of findings,periodicity,percentage,arithmetic mean and standart deviation values were used.İn independent groups T-tests applicationswere used to meaningfully differ according to student's gender,type of school,income status,housing type and class level of student's views. When we look at the resultsof the search generally,it is seen that,the student's mostly attend the 8th survey item "I feel myself in secure before the lessons and during the break timein the school garden" the least atterded is the 12th survey item "while coming to school or returning, I'm afraid of someone stealing my Money or belongings"We can say that most of our secondary school student's feel themselves in secure while they are in the school garden ,coming to school or returnning from school.When the results of the survey are evaluated according to gender,it is seen that male student's attend more to the survey,if it is evaluated according to class level,9 th grade student's attend more,if it is evaluated according to housing type,perception of the student's who are staying with their families are higher,and according to incoming status it is seen that the children of families whose income level is lower attend more than others.
