Abstract (EN)
The Covid-19 virus, which started to appear in Wuhan, China at the end of 2019, has spread over time. It has been recognized as a pandemic by the World Health Organization. Covid-19, which was transmitted between continents, caused the death of many people. Covid-19, which is still in effect, has brought many changes into our lives such as social distance, mask use, curfews, closure of workplaces, travel ban, working from home, distance education. Schools have suspended education and distance education has been started. The use of the Internet and the need for technology have increased even more. In this period when it was dangerous to be outside, individuals tried to spend time at home and also to run their business from their home. People have difficulties in adapting to this new situation they are in. The distance education process of working female teachers and the process of continuing their work at home, the process of blurring the difference between the private area they live in and the public space they work in, has been examined. When gender roles are considered, the pressures and coercive nature of patriarchal society on women are also discussed in the research. In the research, open coding phase of the theory based on the qualitative research method and ethnographic research were adopted and interviews were conducted with 26 working female teachers with in-depth interview technique. In the theoretical framework, Goffman's dramaturgy approach was discussed and the problems experienced by female teachers working within the scope of the study during the pandemic process were examined under three main themes as business life, family life and social life. While the isolation and quarantine process continues, it has been determined that the social communication areas that have decreased to a minimum level and that people move away from sociality due to the pandemic. At the same time, it has been observed that teachers experience alienation from their profession. It has been determined that the method of working from home, which is thought to offer a more comfortable working environment, has turned into a more challenging process for women, increasing the level of anxiety and fear in individuals, and the importance given to hygiene has increased.
