Kebirì-zāde Yüsrì of Pend-nāme examination- text- dictionary)

This study includes translation and criticism of one of the authors of 18. Century Kebirizâde Abdurrahman Yüsrî's book Pend-nâme (Pend-nāme-i Kebirì-zāde Yüsrì). In addition, we criticised the text's content in our study. Abdurrahman Yüsrî, one of the Süleymaniye's scholars, finished his text in 18 November 1703 and dedicated to third Ahmad. Then he died 1721 in İstanbul. The book has 4 different handwriting copies in different libraries. Also in one of these copies it is mentioned that the copy has been taken from the authors own handwriting and in 1819/1820 it is copied from the real handwriting text. The all four copies have been written in the way of interpretation. And we have discussed these texts in each other. Our study consists of four chapter. In the first chapter we have talked about Kebirîzâde Abdurrahman Yüsrî's life and books whose a text is taking part for first time in an academic article. On the other hand we considered his sources while we were interpreting the text as a kind of siyasetname and its place and significance among all siyasetnames. In the second chapter we talked about our comments on the book with the approaches to its shape, content, quotations methods and language. In the third chapter the copies are introduced also Pendnames history and its text took place. In the last chapter a dictionary of the book has prepared and added to end of the study. Pendnâme is a classic siyasetname which is written with prosaically kind. In addition it includes 54 poetic part and most of them are Persian. This text consists of a Besmele (special name of starting with name of Allah), two introduction ,thirteen article and one last word. The first two introduction are hard to understand and the other parts are more comprehensible. Yüsrî, who worked as teacher and judge, has taken his informations from the religious sources. In this process he mentioned 35 verses, 41 Hadiths (speeches of Mohammad (PBUH) , 4 scholars speeches and 29 Arabic proverb in the whole of the text. The author, because he has not worked for governments, did not mention anything about governing or historical realities of his time. Theological advices of author who was a scholar teacher are the main body of the text (which is a kind of siyasetname). Additionally, he was offering most of these advices from his mystic background.
