Abstract (EN)

Since the end of the Cold War, international relations have embarked on a multidimensional and multipolar course rather than a bipolar course. In this context, there have been certain changes in how information is acquired and used. So it can be analyzed its impact on the relationship between intelligence and propaganda in this manner. The concept of the interconnected relationship between intelligence and propaganda activities presents a pattern on the basis of intelligence and propaganda in order to regulate 21st century international relations in the world system experiencing multidimensional and multipolar relations. Thus, propaganda draws attention as an activity enacted in the context of strategic intelligence and counterintelligence and also is of interest to intelligence communities. Propaganda, therefore, can appear in the context of strategic intelligence and counterintelligence, gaining attention as an activity of interest to the intelligence communities. In order to embody the relationship between intelligence and propaganda, the comparison of Turkish and US intelligence communities makes sense in the 21st century's international relations. In despite of the fact that there occur different models in the organisation style and different political motivations for the sake of evolution of both intelligence communities, the campaigns of the USA in Hong Kong (1950-1964), Taiwan (1954-1958) and the Korean War (1950-1953) and campaigns of the Caucasus, African by Teşkilat-ı Mahsusa and the campaign of Turkish intelligence in Cyprus (1955-1974) reflect a series of analysis of the coerced relationship between intelligence and propaganda in the context of interconnected relation.
