Abstract (EN)
This study aims to examine and record all aspects of the structural features of the "kaba zurna" instrument performed by exchange musicians who settled in the provinces of Samsun, Manisa and İzmir with the population exchange between Turkey and Greece in 1923-1930. Considering that the population exchange between Turkey and Greece has a history of more than a century; the fact that the source people, zurna performers, are decreasing and the issue of transferring the kaba zurna performed in this culture to future generations has become an essential situation for the study. The study also serves the purpose of revealing this type of zurna, which is also important in terms of instrumentology, by making determinations in the context of exchange music culture.
