Because of the war immigrants from Syria to Turkey university students' life satisfaction and healthy lifestyle behavior changes

Research aim were life satisfaction and to determine changes in healthy lifestyle behaviors university student who emigrated from Syria to Turkey because of the war. Study was conducted cross-sectional. The research universe was created with 524 Syrian students who were displaced in Gaziantep University for training purposes during the 2014-2015 education fall term. The sample size was determined using power analysis as 217 student, were 228 students who agreed to participate in the stratified sampling study sample. The data collection was used to questionnaire (including sociodemographic characteristics) and Life Satisfaction and Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors Scale (HLBS). Data were analyzed with SPSS 18 program. Age 18 and over and 23 and who not use substances; nutrition, of the monthly income of over 800 TL, spiritual development physical activity, nutrition, interpersonal relationships, HLBS total, BMI of normal; physical activity, interpersonal relationships, stress management, HLBS total, illiterate mother responsibility for the health, life satisfaction, health responsibility illiterate father is significantly higher than the average score. Those who not lose years of education because of the war of physical activity, nutrition, HLBS total, except for stress management that enables very satisfied with their education of all scale, feeding those who are very satisfied with the environmental and social benefits, spiritual development, nutrition, interpersonal relationships, life satisfaction are very satisfied with their peer relationships, spiritual development, health responsibility, interpersonal relationships, HLBS total, life satisfaction of those very satisfied with their relationships with people outside of university, spiritual development is very satisfied with the relationship between school and university administrators, spiritual development and HLBS total those less satisfied with employment and working conditions,very satisfied the relationship between the people, life satisfaction, interpersonal relationships, HLBS total are very satisfied with the university life of the people, , stress management points higher than those less satisfied statistically. After migration HLBS total, HLBS subscales and life satisfaction scale scores were found significantly lower than before the migration.
