The life of Shekh Hussain el-Bûtî and understanding of sufism

This study revolves around the life of Shaikh Husain al-Bûtî and the concept of Sufism. al-Bûtî took Sufism in Norşin, and his integration is linked to the Khalidiya branch of Naqshbandi, to which an enormous number is attributed in eastern and western Anatolia. The study consists of two chapters and final sections. In the first chapter, the life of al-Bûtî, his group, teachings and his moral structure are mentioned. Also, we looked at some difficult situations, ordeals and problems of that period which has been faced by shaikh Husain. In addition, we wrote the short biographies of those Sufi teachers who lived in that period and what the sheikh learned in their teachings, but since their biographies weren't recorded, we collected information from their close relatives through interviews. İn this regard we have visited many villages and cities, and collected information related to the shekh. Some examples are; Siirt, Shirvan, Pervari; Bitlis, Mutki, Göroymak, Ahlât, Ağrı Patnos, Van, Erciş and many additional villages. During his journey of sufism, Shaikh Husain provided a rare example of love, devotion, submission, and sacrifice. In the second chapter, the concept of Sufism and the spiritual views of Shaikh Husain has been discussed. Since there was no source or any documents that shed light on the life of Sheikh hussain or highlight the important aspects of his biography, we conducted frequent interviews with him when he was alive and we collected information about his journey of life and mystism. In addition, we interviewed his family members, students and Murids (spiritual students) especially my presence with him at the most time and closely watching his way of life, which helped us to accomplish this work. Thus, the life and mysticism of Shaikh Husain, one of the last representatives of Khalidi, a branch, of al-Naqshbandi was recorded from primary sources.
