The Affects of ergonomics in vehicle on traffic accidents

The aim of ergonomics is to provide human safety and comfort in the work environment If the vehicle in the traffic environment is considered as the work environment of the driver, providing driver's comfort and preventing the traffic accidents would be the aims of ergonomics. Altough the vehicle and the driver carry out different functions, they form a typical man-machine system. As long as the ergonomics in vehicle is convenient, the vehicle-driver system can perfom its function completely. The purpose of this study is, to emphasize the importance of design in vehicles and to prove if there is a negligence of ergonomics in vehicle design can cause some problems on the vehicle-driver system like performance and comfort of the system.
