Abstract (EN)

The industrial revolation paved the way for the emergence of the modernism of the englightenment Century, is dominant. For this reason, a model was created by examining western modernization processes in the newly established Word order and this model was applied to other Word societies. However, the idea of ignoring the historical and cultural accumulation of all societies and reducing them period, wich came with prominence, and in this process, while a new social order was being formid, changes at the macro level also took place. The idea that all the understanding of universalism of the 19. to the same level has brought many problems with it. Civilizations such as Asia and Africa, which have an ancient culture/civilization, have been declared primitive/backward on the grounds that they do not follow the development line of the West. Modernization, which has a linear and progressive understanding, has placed the west at the top of its pyramid while reducing societies to categories. Modernization theories have been formed on the basis of the idea that all societies will follow the same development/change line, but the attitudes of societies with different cultures, beliefs, lifestyles and values towards modernization have also been different. There are many references in approaches to modernization, such as a holistic acceptance or resisting it with a rebellion or incorporating it by changing it. In this study, Nurettin Topçu and Erol Güngör's approach to social change will be discussed. Our aim is to explain the attitude of conservative ideology towards social change within the framework of Nurettin Topçu and Erol Güngör's understanding of culture-religion-based conservatism. In the study, analyzes will be made on the basic concepts and approaches that these two names take as a basis in social change.
