Abstract (EN)

Until the adoption of 1998 Opening Up To Africa Policy, there was not a serious strategy in Turkish Foreign Policy. Thanks to this plan, Turkey who structured its policy according to current conjunctural conditions and had a unstable approach towards this region has determined a visionary strategy. The AK Party government came to power in Turkey after 2002 and the perception of foreign policy of this government has led to maintain this plan. The aim of this thesis is to analayze Turkish Foreign Policiy towards Sub Saharan Africa with historical perspective and argue sustainable of currently strategy.Relations between Turkey and Sub Saharan Africa has not only political level but also has gained significant economical and social transformation. In addition, Turkey has made development aid to some country in this region that have a bad life standarts and has carried out considerable activities by TİKA. Some non-governmental organizations has arranged organizations to prove the needs of the region and make serious humanitarian aid.Turkey intents to be effective both state policy and non-governmental organization, but there are some problems. At first, such USA, China, India some powers ara active this region. Espicially, USA and China has gained their military, economically and politically hegomany in Sub Saharan Africa. The other point of this problem regards as contuinity and sustainability of Turkey?s policy towards Sub Saharan. In this context, Turkey should determine systematic and corporate policy. At the conclusion of the study, considering the current policies in Turkey some suggestions are listed for the future of relations.
