Abstract (EN)
The art of calligraphy is the core of Islamic arts. In order not to allow the divine gift to be corrupted as oral knowledge, the writings by the scribes have survived to the present day by gaining a different identity in the geographies where Islam spread. Ta'lik script has also been an important type of writing in this direction. By briefly discussing the historical evolution of the writing, the fact that the letters of Turkish Ta'lik adhered to certain rules and found their own measure, and that it was not written as it was out of hand, gave ta'lik writing an aesthetic aspect. In line with this information, our study focused on the examination of ta'lik script in terms of plastic elements and the anatomical dimensions of the letters. Thus, a path other than the development of calligraphy on the stage of history was drawn.
