Turkey-European Union relations' economic, political and socio-cultural results

The objective of this thesis is to observe and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of Turkey becoming a member of the European Union (EU). As a result of this observation and discussion, the aim of this thesis is to answer the following questions from economic, political and socio-cultural results and search an answer this questions:Does being a member of the EU provide more advantages or disadvantages? Should Turkey continue its relations with the EU or terminate attempts to cooperate? In this thesis the relations between Turkey and European Union (EU) is periodically observed. While preparing this thesis, various academic sources have been objectively referenced in order to answer the previously mentioned questions. According to the sources, the main section and subtitles of the thesis are prepared. At the beginning of this thesis the history and progress of agreements the EU held and the historic relations of Turkey and the EU are observed. Secondly, the question of whether or not it is in Turkey's best interest to become a member if the EU and lastly the various scenarios that await Turkey.
