One of the Turkey's first woman deputies Benal Nevzat Ariman's political, cultural and social activities

The Creation includes both women and men. Families, societies and nations are the product of the union of men and women. Developments and social progress have never been achieved by the efforts of just one species, but through the joint efforts of men and women. Unfortunately, in the societies that have developed as a result of the common progress, while men had their rights directly (mostly innate), women had to made an effort to get their own rights. In the first part of our study, we will discuss, from the first Turkish states (large and small) to the Republic, what political, cultual and social rights women have, what rights they acquire and what rights they lose by time, their struggles to get their own rights and what kind of achievement they achieved as a result of these struggles. In the second part that constitutes the main part of the our study, we will discuss the place of the Turkish woman who is entitled to participate in political life with the constitution of December 5, 1934. In this context, we will try to determine that the status and importance of İzmir Deputy Benal Nevzat Arıman who is one of the 18 women who entered the parliament with the first general elections and her contribution to Turkish political and social life.
