Abstract (EN)
Ongoing research in Istanbul university life associate, undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students in the program of anxiety and avoidance behaviour, perceptions of social skills, self-esteem and loneliness levels aimed at gaining information about the direction and intensity of the relationship between each. Relational screening model was used in the research. The universe of research consists of students who continue their education at the level of associate, undergraduate, graduate or doctoral level in state and or foundation universities in Istanbul. The sample number of the study was determined to be at least 386 and reached 390 students. In order to reach the sample volume, the easy sampling method was used in the research. The survey form prepared by the researcher was used as a data collection tool in the research. The survey form was prepared from the "google form" site, which is an online survey platform, and its participants were provided with a link and the survey form was completed. The survey form consists of five parts. The SPSS 20 program was used to analyze the data obtained in the study. Introductory characteristics of students studying at the University are shown by frequency and percentage. In the study of the normal distribution States of the scores taken from the scales used in the study, kurtosis and skewness values were looked at. In the study, t-test and one-way variance analysis were used for samples independent of parametric tests to investigate the cases in which the scores obtained from the scales differ according to the introductory characteristics of the students. Pearson correlation coefficient was used to examine the relationship between the concepts involved in the study. As a result, the study found a positive and weak relationship between students ' anxiety levels and their perception of social skills, while a positive and moderate relationship between anxiety levels and self-esteem (an excess score indicates a lower number of self-esteem) was found. In addition, a positive and moderate relationship was found between the level of anxiety and the level of loneliness of students. A positive and poor relationship between students ' avoidance behaviors and their perception of social skills was found, as well as a moderate and positive relationship with the level of loneliness. It was also found that students who exhibited avoidance behaviors tended to have low self-esteem. Students were found to be inversely proportional between their loneliness levels and their self-esteem levels.
