Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the attitudes towards technology and the level of openness to innovation of academicians also who teach music through distance education and to examine these attitudes and levels in the context of various variables. The sample group of the study consists of 74 academicians working in Education Faculties, Conservatories and Fine Arts Faculties of universities in various regions of Turkey in the academic year of 2020-2021. In the study, in which the relational survey model was used, 'Attitude Towards Technology Scale' developed by Akbaba Altun (2003) and 'Innovative Teacher Traits Scale' developed by Kocasaraç (2018) were used as data collection tools. In the analysis of the data, Pearson Correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between the attitudes of music teaching academics towards technology and their level of openness to innovation while t-test, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis test and ANOVA test were used to examine these attitudes and levels in the context of various variables. According to the research results, a highly positive and significant relationship was found between the attitudes towards technology and the level of openness to innovation of academics teaching music. Also, according to other results from the research, academicians level of openness to innovation and their attitudes towards technology does not differ significantly according to their gender, age, type of institution they work in, their instrument branches, graduation status and years of work in the profession.
