Abstract (EN)
The human body consists of many complex structures, sports scientists, trainers and people in the sports community include research on the flexibility motoric feature. Which flexibility protocol to apply to individuals before training or competition has frequently been the subject of research. The aim of the study is to examine whether the effects of self-applied myofascial relaxation practices on acute flexibility, strength and balance are significant or insignificant by individuals interested in volleyball and football. Participants in the study were Büyükçekmece Volleyball Academy athletes, 10 female volleyball players, and Istanbul Bafra Sports Club football infrastructure athletes, 10 male athletes. Self-Myofascial Relaxation (KKMG) movements were applied to the groups with foam rollers. As a data collection tool, firstly the anthropometric measurements of the individuals, height, body weights, body mass indexes and biacromial, biliary and femur bicondyles were taken from the diameter measurements. test, stork balance test, prone bridge (plank), overhead back medicine ball throw test, shoulder, knee and ankle joints and muscle flexibility tests were performed with goniometer. SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) 25.0 package program was used for the data. Data are given as mean and standard deviation. Descriptive statistics were calculated through the spss program of the data, then Shapiro-Wilk analysis was performed for the normality test of the data. The Wilxocon test was used to statistically analyze the results of the groups. It was analyzed with the Mann-Whitney U Test to determine the differences between groups. The analyzes performed were evaluated at the significance level of p <0.05. When the pretest values of soccer players and volleyball players from the sample groups were compared: No significant difference was found in Flexibility Latissimus Dorsi End, Flexibility Hamstring End, Flexibility Gastrocnemius End, Flamingo Test (Error), Stork Test (Sn), Plank Test (Sn) tests. A significant difference was found in the Medical Ball Test (m) result (p <0.05). When the final test values of football players and volleyball players were compared: There was no significant difference in Flexibility Latissimus Dorsi End, Flexibility Hamstring End, Flexibility Gastrocnemius End, Flamingo Test (Error), Stork Test (Sn), Plank Test (Sn). A significant difference was found in the Medical Ball Test (m) result (p <0.05). When the players' pretest and posttest values were compared: A significant difference was found in the Flexibility Latissimus Dorsi End test (p<0.05); There was no significant difference in Flexibility Hamstring End, Flexibility Gastrocnemius End, Flamingo Test(Error), Stork Test(Sn), Plank Test(Sn) and Healt Ball Test(m) (p<0.05); When the pre test and post test values of volleyball players were compared a significant difference was found in Flexibility Latissimus Dorsi End and Medicine Ball Test(m) (p<0.05); There was no significant difference in Flexibility Hamstring End, Flexibility Gastrocnemius End Flamingo Test(Error), Stork Test(Sn), and Plank Test(Sn) tests (p<0.05). As a result of our research, it is seen that the applications of foam roller equipment for the use of training or competitions, jointly for football players and volleyball players, increase the flexibility of the latissimus dorsi muscle and the range of motion of the shoulder joint. After the roles, it was concluded that the upper extremity strength increased in volleyball players and it was concluded that it contributed positively to these features.
