Abstract (EN)
Disasters often have unpredictable and unexpected impacts on societies and can cause direct or indirect population movements. The phenomenon of migration, which can be accepted from the important social events of human history, has re-manifested itself in a massive and compulsory form in the last century of the two great wars. Collective population movements of those seeking asylum in countries where they think they will be safe by escaping from the war and conflict regions have also forced societies to receiving migration in order to take various measures. In this context, a painful process requires time to fully settle and adapt to the new social structures that have emerged following the post-disaster forced migration. These difficulties are shaped by the conditions of migration and the qualification of immigrants. There are potential adaptation problems for large sections of the society, who have to change places due to compulsory reasons, to maintain their economic, social, cultural qualities and habits in the new regions where they settle. This thesis study aims to re-evaluate the effects of adaptation problems and settled regions on the administrative, economic and socio-cultural based sustainability policies with a perspective that will be developed through experienced world examples taking into account the changing and transforming disaster management strategies. Keywords: Disaster, Migration, Forced Migration, Sustainability, Security.
