The critical edition of Aladdin Samarqandi's Sharhu't-Tawilat (Surah of Al-Fatihah and until the 24th verse of the Surah of Bakara)

Libraries around the world, especially Turkish libraries, possess a lot of manuscripts in various Islamic sciences, and most of those manuscripts have not been previously edited or printed. The book of Abu Mansur al-Maturidi's (d. 333H) called Ta'wilat al-Qur'an "Interpretations of the Qur'an" is considered one of the most important books of Islamic heritage in Tafsir "Qur'anic exegesis". The book, of which we will investigate a part of it, is an explanation of this Maturidi interpretation, written by Ala al-Din al-Samarqandi (d. 539 H). This research aims to investigating a part of the book Sharh al-Ta'wilat "Explanation of Interpretations of the Qur'an" according to the applicable standards of manuscripts editing, in a manner that makes it easier for readers and researchers to benefit from it, as this book has never been edited or printed before. Due to the large size of this book, it is more appropriate to investigation small parts of it (Introduction by the author, Surat Al-Fatihah, and Surat Al-Baqarah up to verse 24). This research also aims to present a study on the author and his scientific life, as well as a study of the characteristics and features of this book, and the author's approach to it.
