Demokrat Party on Amasya press (1950?1960)

Multivocality is regarded as nation?s having the right to vote for any person or party they want. The basis of democracy is multivocality. Accordingly, governmet bodies must perform a work to make this occur and present many political parties before nation. After 1938, Ismet Inönü, acting in the capacity of National Chief, has been an effective factor in experiencing a single-party era in Turkey. Until the 1950 Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi, with its chairman Ismet Inönü, governed the country as the single party. After 1939, World has been under the effect of the Word War II and Turkey has been affected by this process. Although Inönü, tried to keep the state out of the war, he couldn?t be successful. Furthermore, ?balanced budget-sound budget? implementations did not produce the desired results.In the face of single-party political system, Demokrat Parti which includes Adnan Menderes and Celal Bayar, has been established. In the face of this constitution, Ismet İnönü has supported the establishment of Demokrat Parti and also engaged in opposition activities. In this study; the reflections of Demokrat Parti,in power between 1950-1960,in the press of Amasya have been handled over the newspapers and magazines which were published between 1950-1960. Accordingly, in the first chapter ?Amasya Press History? has been attempted to be analyzed periodically.
