Analysis from the point of discourse superiors of the education news found in the mainstream media

The development of communication and transportation opportunities has facilitated the access of mainstream media to the mass. The access easiness has provided the formation of impact acceptable over the public opinion. Within this impact area, the media has considerably increased its impact on the public opinion concerning the education. Furthermore, it is also confronted as a resource consulted by people about education matters. In the education matter concerning the whole society, lots of news take part in the newspaper, television and internet media. The newspapers reserve special pages concerning the education; they have columnists within their scope just for education subject and publish additional broadcasts concerning the education. In the same way, the television broadcasting has changed its style and has considerably extended its limits from whether the point of program or journalism. In the foundation of this wide frame, there are also discourse superiors. This study has been performed as analysis of discourse superiors taken part in the education news. The study regarding "the analysis of discourse superiors of education news taken part in the mainstream media" is constituted of 4 parts. The first part defines the relation between education and media, media, mainstream media and relationship between education and news, the definitions of discourse and discourse superiors, its role and social impacts in media. In the second part, we have followed for 2 months the education news having and not discourse superiors over online sites of 3 national newspapers in the scope of mainstream media. By investigating the news having discourse superiors in it, we have tried to determine his/her impact on the society and individual. In the third part of the study, we have given place to the findings obtained from the analysis of the discourse superiors used in the education news. Whereas in the interpretations made on these findings, we have determined that the discourses of discourse superiors have no significant impact on the society and individual. We have seen that the discourse superiors are used within the news to give information at certain periods about prominent matters such as exam, school preference/selection and student. Finally the fourth part is about the conclusion and suggestion. In this part, you can find the conclusions based on the findings obtained from the analysis of the discourse superiors and discourses.
