Life, art, poems of minstrel Latif Arslan

Monographic studies on minstrels have an important place in the literature on folk literature. Naming the performers who sing poetry poems in folk literature has been one of the study topics that researchers have focused on. In the study, Latif Arslan was described as a minstrel because he could play the saz and use the traditional themes of the literature of minstrelsy. The life and literary personality of Latif Arslan constitute the subject of study of our thesis. The representatives of the tradition of minstrelsy, which has been fed by the old Turkish culture and has been updated by keeping up with the changes of the era, are scattered all over the Turkic world. Latif Arslan is the representative of this tradition in the province of Kahramanmaraş. In the study, information about Latif Arslan's life was given and his poems were evaluated in terms of their form-content-style features.
