Abstract (EN)

Objective: This research aims to evaluate nursing practices in a cancer department, especially for BC patients. Study Methodology: This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted in Al-Diwaniyah Hospital in Iraq in the period between 21.04.2022 - 21.06.2022. The research scientist consists of nurses working in Al-Diwaniyah Hospital. The sample number of at least 184 people was determined by the sample calculation method in cases where the universe is unknown. Data were collected face to face through personal interview and observation. The "Sociodemographic and clinical features" and "the nursing practice scale arabic version (A-ASCOP) scale" were used to collect the data. Results: The mean age of the participants was determined 38.3 ± 19.02, 65.76% were males and 73.36% were married. It was determined that there was a positive, statistically significant relationship between age, educational level, Work experience and the overall score of the ASCOP scale. An average level of nursing practices was determined, and that this Practice has a significant relationship between educational level and work experience Conclusion: It was decided that the nursing practices scores on the ASCOP scale were at an average level and that the experience and educational level had a positive impact on the nursing practices.
