Abstract (EN)

Ayfer Tunç, one of the important writers of the post-1980 period in Turkish literature; She comes to the forefront with her works in the genres of novel, short story and life. Drawing attention with her novels published in recent years as a contemporary writer, Tunç stepped into the world of literature with her stories. Winning the Yunus Nadi Öykü Ödülü in 1989 with her first story book, Saklı, shows her success in this genre. The author, who prefers an innovative style in her stories, has carefully chosen his characters and processed them meticulously. In this sense, he consciously assigned roles that would trigger the main conflict to father figures. In the study, the father figure in Ayfer Tunç's stories was examined. It has been determined that the father figure is frequently included in the stories from a psychological and social point of view. The author's loss of her father at a young age, growing up without a father and her longing; made him give extensive coverage to her own father in two of her autobiographical stories. At the beginning of the study, the panorama of Turkish storytelling from the Tanzimat to the present is drawn. Thus, attention was drawn to the changes that Turkish storytelling had undergone. In the first part, detailed information about the author's life, literary personality and works are given. In the second part, all the stories in the author's five story books are summarized. Since there is no study that summarizes all the stories of the author collectively, this method was used. By summarizing all his stories, contributions were made to the science of literature as well as stories with a father figure in their fiction were revealed. In the third chapter, the meanings of words and terms of father and father identity are explained; The social and psychological foundations of fatherhood are questioned. In the same place, attention is drawn to the way the father identity takes place in religious and literary texts. In the fourth and last part, the father figures in Ayfer Tunç's stories are classified. The authority of the father figures in the plot, their psychological and social reflections and their effects on the stories are revealed.
