The role of regional development agencies on the development of human and economic capital (Case of TR61 nut ii)

TR61 NUT II region has a total population of 2 684 328. It constitutes 3,7% of the population and 4,7% of surface area by 36 996 km2 of Turkey For the elimination of regional development differences in Turkey and as a result of adopted regional development policy with for common development of provinces which have common local socio-economic growth potential, regional development agencies have been established. The aim of this thesis is to try to explain impacts of regional development agencies' activities on human and economic capital which are the most important indicator of economic development, whether this policy was successful by looking at the example ofTR61 NUT II of the Western Mediterranean Development Agency (BAKA)in the case. TR61 NUT II region covers Antalya, Isparta and Burdur provinces in the Western Mediterranean Region with fertile soil, rich water resources and temperate climate and hosted to many civilizations and the center of attraction in every age.
