The effect of planned nursing education on drug management to the relatives of patients with bipolar disorder

In patients with bipolar disorder, drug incompatibility leads to a decrease in the quality of life of patients and their relatives. The most important cause of drug incompatibility in patients is the lack of information about the treatment of patients and their relatives. This study is followed by the outpatient psychiatry outpatient clinic waiting for the diagnosis of bipolar disorder in the relatives of the relatives of the education of the drugs given to the quality of life education. The research was conducted between November 2018 and March 2019. The study is an experimental study with pre-test final test pattern. The study was conducted in Ankara Bilkent City Hospital with 10 people. Sociodemographic Characteristics Data Form, World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale-Short Form (WHOQOL-BREF), Relation of Patients with Bipolar Disorder Diagnoses on Disease and Therapy Form. The Wicoxon test was used for the percentage, mean test and pre-test results obtained by the hand, and there was a Mann-Whitney U test where the groups were compared. In the study, it was determined that patient's knowledge, disease and treatment levels increased. General health, physical health, psychological health, social relations and environmental area scores of WHOQOL-BREF were developed by the relatives of the patients (p <0.05). Education and treatment of the relatives of the patient's relatives with the relatives of the relatives of the disease and treatment information level is significantly higher levels (P <0.05). In conclusion, the diagnosis of bipolar disorder is increased when the relatives of the relatives increase the quality of life.
