Abstract (EN)

This study has occurred with 100 participants chosen by random sample method, whose ages change from 15 to 19 and consisting of 69 women and 31 men coming to Iğdır Milli Eğitim Vakfı Anadolu Lisesi in the dates between May 2017 and June 2017 for the purpose of evaluating the effect of advertisements and broadcasts related to nutrition on media on students studying at a state high school. Using the previous scientific researches which are done for evaluating the effect of advertisements and broadcasts related to nutrition on media on students, a survey which consists of 20 questions about socio-demographic features and media follow-up has been composed by the researcher. SPSS 23 program has been used in the statistic calculation and the analysis of chi square test statistic has been used in the evaluation of results. The difference between the groups has been seen as reasonable in the situations that p-value is lower than 0,05. When the results have been evaluated, it can be seen that 50,7% of girls and 48,4% of boys watch television during the day (p<0,05). When we has examined the situation of media follow-up of students who took place in the study, it has been stated that 67% of students read the essays about healthy diet. It has been seen that 58% of students who have changed their dietary habit being inspired by the texts about nutrition responded "Yes" to the questions. On the other hand, 40% of students who haven't been influenced by the advertisements'effect have changed their food products. Students are affected by the media, cheese, milk, which is the vast majority of the food choices they make. This difference in the findings was thought to be due to economic and regional characteristics. Consequently, it has been found that students who study at a state school in Iğdır follow the news, texts and advertisements about nutrition on media but the advertisements does not impress the students so much in changing their food products.
