Abstract (EN)

This research was carried out to determine whether the resilience levels of divorced women differ in terms of various demographic variables (age, education level, income status, working-not working, duration of marriage, number of children) and temperament and character traits. The participant group of the research consists of divorced women. A total of 380 women participated in the study. The research was carried out with the relational scanning model, one of the general scanning models. The Resilience Scale for Adults, prepared by Basım and Çetin (2011), was used to evaluate the resilience levels of divorced women who participated in the study, and the Temperament and Character Inventory, which was adapted into Turkish by Köse et al. The Personal Information Form prepared by the researcher was used to determine the socio-demographic characteristics of individuals. Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between resilience and temperament and character traits. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that there were significant relationships between resilience and temperament and character traits. Independent groups t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used to determine whether the resilience of divorced women differed significantly in terms of age, education level, income status, working-not working, length of stay married, number of children. As a result of the research, it was found that the resilience age, education level, employment status, monthly income, length of marriage and the number of children they had were related to the resilience levels of divorced women. In addition, it was determined that low levels of novelty seeking and harm avoidance from temperament dimensions were associated with high levels of resilience, and high levels of self-direction, cooperation and self-transcendence from character dimensions were associated with high levels of resilience.
