Abstract (EN)
Water and wastewater infrastructure systems have finite lives, with their condition deteriorating over time, that result in failures, decreased performance, or decreased service. The wastewater and drinking water treatment networks in Djibouti are in a state of deterioration. Manifestations of this situation are manifested by the poor condition of the equipment, its poor performance and efficiency. But the problem of degradation goes beyond these manifestations of a physical nature. It lies in the fact that the actual capacities of the equipment are no longer compatible with the quality requirements and the purposes of the service. Rehabilitation of networks is one of the responses to degradation situations. The management of urban technical infrastructures and, more specifically, the rehabilitation of networks creates a new necessary dynamic. Managers must determine when and how to maintain, repair and renovate existing facilities in the most efficient and economical way possible. In this study, developing methods of identification, diagnosis and rehabilitation of wastewater and drinking water networks investigated in Djibouti. The problems were presented in its entire context by conducting a detail study of some districts of the city of Djibouti, to highlight the problems associated with access to the wastewater treatment network and drinking water network, and to propose solutions for these problems.
