Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to determine whether the levels of abuse and neglect of students during the pubescence period differ in terms of gender, class and socioeconomic level. It is also to determine whether loneliness and submissive behavior levels of students are a decisive influence on the levels of abuse and neglect. The study's population consisted of 856 students (428 girls, 428 boys) attending 6th, 7th and 8th classes in 11 different schools in Bursa. In the research, Child Abuse and Neglect Diagnosis Questionnaire, School Based Loneliness Questionnaire for Children and Neck Behavior Questionnaire were used. For the analysis of the data, SPSS 21.0 package program was used; T-test, one-way ANOVA, Post-Hoc multiple comparison tests Scheffe Test, Dunnet-C Test and multiple regression analysis. As a result of the research, male students are more likely to suffer physical abuse, economic exploitation and neglect than girls; 8th grade students were exposed to more emotional abuse than their 6th grade students. Students in the middle SED (socioeconomic level) are experiencing more physical and emotional abuse than students in the high SED; The students in the middle SED are more economically exploited than those in the high SED and those in the lower SED are more likely to suffer economic exploitation than the students in the high SED; The result is that the students in the low SED are more neglected than the students in the high SED. In the study, it was concluded that students' loneliness and submissive behavior levels were a significant predictor on the levels of abuse and neglect. Based on the results obtained from the research, various suggestions were made. Key Words: Child Abuse and Neglect, Loneliness, Aggressive Behavior
