Abstract (EN)

The expansion of the territory of the country as a result of the conquests, relations with different cultures, and the translation of philosophical works in the western world caused Muslims to think differently and increase conflicts. The Mu'tazilah sect emerged at the beginning of the second century of Hijri, and remained in existence until the end of the fourth century. Much has been said about the Mu'tazilah, which has had a strong impact on Islamic geography during this period, either good or bad. The main subject of our thesis is the Mutezile and its branches in Abu'l Feth Muhammad Şehristani. Our thesis consists of an introduction and two main sections. In the introduction, after emphasizing the birth and development of the Mu'tazilah, in the first part, we referred to the branches of Mu'tazilah sect. In other words, we tried to explain how Mutezile and its branches are evaluated in Abu'l Feth Muhammad Şehristani and their characteristics and differences. In the second part, we explained the theological views of Mutezile sect. Mu'tezile, which has so much importance in the history of Islamic Sects, attracted the attention of Şehristani, entered into the field of study on this occasion and wrote very detailed and important information about this sect.
