Abstract (EN)
Today's businesses follow the changes closely and try to adapt themselves to these changes in order to adapt to the rapidly developing technology and competitive conditions in the world. In these changing conditions, they benefit from opportunities such as in-service trainings in order to ensure the regularity of the performance of company employees and to increase them even more. Teamwork activities are the application that draws the most attention from these possibilities. In this paper we aimed to examine the effects of preferred activities that improve teamwork on the organizational climate and job performance of the employees. A total of 145 employees from 4 different units of the same company participated in the research. For teamwork activities, 17 employees participated in the subject group. Demographic characteristics questionnaire, organizational climate and job performance scale were applied to both groups. Teamwork activities were carried out as 2 games once a week for 4 weeks. About 1 month after the activity application, the organizational climate and job performance scale was applied for the second time. When the pre-test and post-test parameters of the participants were examined, it was observed that there was an increase in teamwork rates after teamwork activities in the study group (p<0.05). There was no significant difference between the exercise hours of the participants and the parameters (p<0.05). While there was no difference between the graduation status of the participants in communication, employee performance and BMI parameters, it was observed that there was a significant difference in favor of the sports graduates in the parameters of teamwork, stress, job satisfaction and organizational commitment (p<0.05). In addition, it was found that there was a significant difference between female and male participants in favor of female participants only in employee performance parameter (p<0.05). Considering the stress parameter, it was revealed that there was a significant difference between those who exercised and those who did not (p<0.05). A significant difference was found between the educational status of the participants and the parameters of job satisfaction in favor of primary, secondary and high school graduates. In addition, a significant difference was found between educational status and organizational commitment parameters in favor of primary-secondary-high school graduates. Considering the educational status and BMI parameters, a significant difference was observed in favor of primary-secondary-high school graduates (p<0.05). Suggestions as a result of the findings obtained from the study; Teamwork perceptions among employees can be increased, so it can be said that internal productivity can be positive. In addition, employment can be provided to specialist sports units and employees who are interested in the planning and implementation of teamwork activities in institutions and organizations. Looking at the literature, no relationship was found between those who graduated from undergraduate sports department and the parameters of teamwork, stress, job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Future studies can be conducted on this subject.
