The effect to 'abstract expressionism 'after 1980 on the art of painting in the Gerhard Richter sample

In my thesis study, I chronologically examined the Expressive art movement and studied its artists during the period. I then tried to examine the New Expressionist movement from the political, cultural and societal point of view, along with the effects on the artists, during the period, while considering the Abstract Expressionist movement that emerged after the Second World War with its period and artists. While trying to explain the effects of the New Expressionism on contemporary art, I tried to keep the topic wide by giving examples from Turkish and foreign artists. I have tried to describe the Gerhard Richter's ouvre which composes the sample of my thesis, his New Expressionist concept and its influence on contemporary art, taking into consideration the conditions in his life during in East and West Germany and during the era of modernism and postmodernism. At this point, I also included my own explanations when dealing with the artist.
