Abstract (EN)
The need for energy in the world is increasing day by day. To meet this need, energy production is carried out using many methods and technologies. Countries contribute to the energy supply by using these methods according to their energy policies and the resources they have. In addition to the method of obtaining energy by using fossil fuels in energy production, energy is also obtained by using renewable resources. In addition, obtaining energy from renewable sources has become increasingly common in recent years. Solar Energy Power Plants constitute a significant part of this increase. In this thesis study, the components that make up solar power plants, the features and functions of these components, and the necessary calculations for the installation of solar power plants are explained. In addition, the factors affecting the data of a photovoltaic system were examined and one of these factors, solar tracking systems, was studied. A fixed angle photovoltaic system with 1 MW power installed in Kayseri province was examined and actual annual production values were calculated. Using the PVSYST Program, this power plant was modeled and redesigned with single-axis solar tracking system, dual-axis solar tracking system, and bi-surface panel models, production statistics were obtained, and the results obtained as a result of the simulation were examined together with the real production values.
