Abstract (EN)

Adverb-verb suffixes appear as structures that are used extensively in Turkish language as in every language. The division of the Turkish language into various groups over time has led to semantic and formal changes in adverbial-verb suffixes. The aim of this study is to determine the semantic and stylistic changes in adverbial-verb suffixes in Southwestern Turkish dialects based on Old Anatolian Turkish. The story titled "Basat'ın Tepegöz'ü Öldürdüğü Destan" from the Book of Dede Korkut, which is one of the most important works of Old Anatolian Turkish, especially in the Turkic world, was used for comparison. For the Dresden copy of the story, Muharrem Ergin's work titled "Dede Korkut Kitabı I-II" was used. For the translation of the work into Turkey Turkish, Muharrem Ergin's "Dede Korkut Kitabı" was used. In this study, firstly, Old Anatolian Turkish and Southwestern Turkish dialects are introduced. Then, the adverbial-verb suffixes in Old Anatolian Turkish and Southwestern Turkish dialects are listed and these suffixes are compared semantically and formally through the story "Basat'ın Tepegöz'ü Öldürdüğü Destan" in the "Analysis" section. This comparison is given through tables in the "Conclusion" section.
