Abstract (EN)

The study is planned as complementary for identifying the relationship between sense of organizational culture of nurses and job satisfaction. For that reason; relationship between job satisfaction and sense of organizational culture of 324 nurses working in hospitals having three different statue as hospitals providing diagnosis and therapy service, university hospitals and state hospitals and private hospitals in Istanbul. Moreover, it is also aimed to identify the effects of factors on each other. As data collection tool, information form consisting sociodemographic properties, Organizational Culture Scale of Ozgen and Danısman and survey form of Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale (MSQ) are used. Data collected from survey forms are coded and added to SPSS pack program and while evaluating the data, parametric tests and complementary statistical techniques are used. Factor analysis for scales are held and general reliability is measured via Alpha Coefficient of Cronbach. It is found that reliability coefficient of organizational culture scale is 0.952, and coefficient of job satisfaction scale is 0.878.At the end of the study, it is seen that nurses see the properties of organizational culture over development tendency as dominant but over justice tendency at lower levels. It is also seen that general job satisfaction of nurses is at medium level (68,17), there is no nurse having low job satisfaction level and internal job satisfaction levels of nurses (42,14) are more than external job satisfaction levels (26,03). There is a positive linear relationship between the sense of organizational culture of nurses and job satisfaction, the most important factor effecting internal satisfaction is team tendency and the most important factor effecting external satisfaction is justice tendency. Moreover, it is seen at the study that sense of organizational culture and job satisfaction of nurses working in state hospitals are significantly lower than ones working in private hospitals and universities. Nurses working in private hospitals have the highest degree of organizational culture and job satisfaction.Key Words: Organizational Culture, Job Satisfaction, Nursing
