Abstract (EN)
The goal of this study is to determine the relationship between the ethical leadership displayed by the leaders work in primary schools and the organizational health levels, according to teacher perceptions. The study is based on relational and causal methods of research and random proportional sampling is used for selecting the sample. Concordantly, 14 primary schools located in the center of Aksaray and 382 teachers who were working in these schools in the 2010-2011 educational year formed the sampling group. To detect the ethical leadership behaviors of the school principals in these primary schools perceived by the teachers and the level of the actualization of these behaviors, the `Ethical Leadership Scale? developed by Brown, Trevino and Harrison (2005) is used. And to determine the schools? organizational health, the `Organizational Health Inventory? developed by Hoy, Tarter and Kottkamp (1991) is employed. In analyzing of the data, descriptive statistics method such as mean (), standard deviation (s), percentage (%) frequency (f) transactions and also Pearson moments two tailed correlation coefficient and multi-regression analysis are used.According to the findings of the study generated with the answers of the sample group, the teachers perceived that the behaviors displayed by the schools principals are in line with ethical principles and that the organizational health of the schools is high. In addition to these, the findings of the study show there is a positive relationship on an intermediate level between the ethical leadership behavior and the organizational health and the analyses made in this study shows that this relationship is meaningful. When the results of the multiple regression analysis performed for ethical leadership to predict the organizational health are examined, a positive and meaningful relationship on an intermediate level between the ethical leadership behavior and the organizational health can be seen. Also the ethical leadership is the predictor of the organizational health.
