Modern credit cards have become an integral part of numerous financial transactions and have a direct impact on the lives of Muslims worldwide, especially in Iraq, which is the subject of this research. Therefore, delving into the details of this topic is of great importance, along with presenting a study on these cards and their usage methods, examining the pros and cons associated with this type of financial transaction, and reviewing some of the laws and regulations implemented to regulate this practice and ensure everyone's rights while maintaining ease of use and facilitating access to goods and services without being exposed to risks such as fraud, deception, theft, and cheating. The researcher followed an inductive and analytical approach in studying and analyzing financial and service transactions in Iraq, with a focus on various types of cards used in stores, offices, and banks, and monitoring the laws and regulations applied in this field to prevent the violation of the rights of the parties involved. The researcher also took into consideration the religious justifications for each type of transaction, aiming to ensure the acquisition of lawful earnings for Muslims in Iraq and avoid prohibited activities in these transactions. The researcher arrived at several conclusions, notably that the use of credit cards is compatible with Islamic principles as long as they do not involve usurious benefits, and the amount paid for goods or services is considered a short-term debt to be repaid later. Credit cards offer advantages such as payment convenience and facilitating access to goods and services, but they also carry disadvantages such as the risks of fraud and theft. This thesis examines the daily economic transactions that arise from market activities and involve rights for all parties participating in these cards, in accordance with what is allowed by Islamic principles.
